Unforeseen downtime: cPanel

Unexpected downtime of our shared cPanel server my.RedyHost.net.au 5 Feb 2013 11:40AM - 12:20PM. Server hardware failure caused the cPanel to restart on another node (this is typical high availability behaviour).

Today on 19 January 2013 we had a massive DDoS attack on our AU network and majority of services were down. We had a short (around 8 minutes, starting at 7:16AM until 7:24AM) downtime for our cPanel (shared hosting) customers.
